The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Corporate Affairs Commission have agreed to deepen collaboration in the fight against corruption.

Through this collaboration, both agencies will work together to strengthen their efforts in curbing fraudulent activities, ensuring that businesses operate with integrity, and ultimately creating a more stable economic foundation for the country.

This partnership was disclosed in a statement issued by the commission today, in Abuja after a courtesy visit by the EFCC Executive Chairman, Olanipekun Olukoyede.

Olukoyede, in his opening remarks, thanked the entire management and staff of CAC for the support and prompt response given to EFCC requests.

He noted that EFCC and CAC are both delivering on their mandates for the good of the citizenry and the nation.

The anti-corruption czar reiterated his commitment to using anti-corruption measures to stimulate the economy, create a business-friendly environment, and ensure regulatory compliance

He said, “We have resolved to use the instrumentality of fighting corruption to stimulate the economy and create a conducive environment for investors to run their business and ensure that everyone plays by the rules.”
