The National Association of Nigerian Students has commended the governors of the Southwest for their decision to establish a joint security network and food hubs to tackle insecurity and hunger.
In a statement signed and released today by the NANS Ogun Joint Campus Committee Chairman, Francis Gabriel, the student body described the resolution by the Southwest Governors’ Forum as not only commendable but also a catalyst for regional growth and development.
At a meeting held in Lagos last week, the governors announced plans to set up a joint security network and food hubs in the region to foster socioeconomic development.
They also declared their commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the Southwest Development Commission to drive coordinated growth in the region.
