Italian Serie A club Napoli are set to lose €70m after delaying the sales of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last summer, as both players’ valuations have significantly dropped.
Speaking, Napoli coach Antonio Conte confirmed that both players had expressed their desire to leave the club during the 2024 summer transfer window when Paris Saint-Germain were willing to pay €200m for the pair.
“I spoke about disappointment not towards the player, not towards the club, but towards myself, because in six months I failed to change the situation,” Conte said.
