Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have disclosed the arrest of 62-year-old Tahir Ahmed for ‘printing’ fake naira notes.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this on Tuesday in a press release.
The PPRO added that investigations were ongoing to uncover further details related to the incident stating that the state Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad, had instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department to send a request letter to the Central Bank of Nigeria for a forensic analysis to determine the authenticity of the suspected currency notes.
