Benue-born chef, Naira Victor, is on a mission to set a new world record of 135-hour of cooking non-stop, to break the Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. His target will put him over the current record holder, an Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes to dethrone Nigeria’s Chef Hilda Baci.

As at Monday morning at 1am when he rounded up cooking, the 30-year-old Benue chef has reached 135 hours and still cooking to achieve his feat.

Victor, who began cooking on Tuesday with an aim to reach his remarkable 135-hours non-stop cooking marathon had attracted dignitaries from far and wide at the Tiger Bar, venue of the event in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
